Mickey Arthur: Director to Resignation
In April 2023, Mickey Arthur took on the role of Director of the Pakistan men’s cricket team. Grant Bradburn: Head Coach’s Departure
Grant Bradburn, a 57-year-old former New Zealand cricketer, was appointed as the head coach of the Pakistan national men’s side in the previous year. Before this, he had served as the fielding coach of the Pakistan men’s team from 2018 to 2020. Under his leadership, Pakistan achieved a historic milestone by securing the No. 1 spot in the ICC ODI team rankings in May 2023. Bradburn had a multifaceted role in Pakistani cricket, having transitioned from fielding coach to the Head of High-Performance Coaching at NCA until October 2021.
Andrew Puttick: Batting Coach’s Farewell
Former South Africa cricketer Andrew Puttick, who had been serving as Pakistan’s batting coach since April 2023, is part of the trio resigning from their positions. His coaching contributions have been notable during his tenure.
Joint Resignation Announcement
All three individuals, Arthur, Bradburn, and Puttick, communicated their decision to step down from their respective roles to the Pakistan Cricket Board. The resignation, effective at the end of January 2024, was a result of amicable discussions between the stakeholders.
